Club Accreditation Programme - 2021/22 season

By League Admin

Which clubs need to be accredited?

• All junior clubs must be accredited before they can play in any competitive matches in the 2021/22 season.

• Senior clubs do not need to be accredited.

• Does my club need to submit an affiliation application via COMET for the 2021/22 season?

• Yes: if you are a new junior club, or if you are an existing junior club that did not gain an accreditation level in the 2020/21 season.

• No: if you are an existing junior club that successfully achieved an accreditation level in the 2020/21 season, you are not required to submit an accreditation application for the 2021/22 season. Instead, the accreditation level your club achieved in the 2020/21 season will be carried over for the 2021/22 season.

• Optional: if your club was accredited in the 2020/21 season and you want to gain a higher level of accreditation for the 2021/22 season, will need to submit a new club accreditation application for the 2021/22 season.

• How do I complete an affiliation application via COMET?

• All junior clubs will receive an email from the FAW inviting them to submit an accreditation application via COMET for the 2021/22 season. The email will be sent to those with CLUB MANAGER and CLUB LICENSING CLUB RESPONSIBLE user roles.

• When does the window open and when does it close?

• The application window will be open from 1st June and will close on 23rd July 2021.

• Who do I contact if I have any queries in relation to the Club Accreditation Programme for the 2021/22 season?

• Please email cap@faw.co.uk or danielle@fawtrust.cymru
